Research Area:

Identification and characterization of gene networks involved in stem cell niche establishment in Arabidopsis shoot apex.

Shoot apical meristem (SAM) of higher plants harbor pluripotent stem cells at their tip. Normal development of a plant depends upon the regulatory networks that control balance between stem cells specification and differentiation. Currently, research in our lab focuses on building a comprehensive transcription factor regulatory network for Arabidopsis SAM stem cell niche.
