Foundation Day 2022

The 16th Foundation Day of IISER Mohali was celebrated on September 27, 2022. The Chief Guest Professor Deepak Dhar of IISER Pune delivered the Foundation Day Lecture on "200 Years of Studies of Phase Transitions" . Apart from the lecture, there were scientific demonstrations, quiz programs, etc. for school kids.  A large number of school kids in the tricity region participated in the IISER Mohali foundation day program.

The IISER Mohali Team bagged the Gold medal (received by ~170 out of 380+ teams) at the iGEM 2022 Grand Jamboree. IISER Mohali Team were nominated for the Foundational Advance track award (among the top 5 teams in the same track) and the special award for Software Tool among the top 7 teams.

Foundation Day

Professor M. M. Sharma, FRS, Former Director, Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, delivered the Foundation Day Lecture on September 27, 2015, focusing on excellent research that could be carried out in the laboratory and how the same could be extended in industry with fruitful results for society. He urged the faculty and students to excel in their pursuit of knowledge and also try to convert knowledge into wealth.

Foundation Day 2021

IISER Mohali foundation day was celebrated on September 27, 2021. Prof. Ramesh V. Sonti from IISER Tirupathi delivered the Foundation Day Lecture - "How do plants ward off pathogens?"

Foundation Day

The IISER Mohali foundation day was celebrated on September 27, 2017.  Dr. Madhavan Nair Rajeevan, Secretary,  Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India delivered the Foundation Day Lecture.  Prof. Debi P Sarkar, Director IISER Mohali gave the welcome address and spoke about the achievements of the Institute during the year that had passed since the last foundation day.
