IISER Mohali gives Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarships to meritorious and needy BS-MS students. The details of the MCM scholarships are provided below. These criteria were approved at the 51st meeting of the Board of Governors, held on 24 March 2023 and in earlier meetings.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Applicable to a BS-MS student from 3rd to 10th semester, who satisfies any of the following:
a) belongs to the SC/ST/PwD category;
b) belongs to the OBC category but excluding the creamy layer; or
c) is in possession of an EWS certificate.
2. The student must have a CPI of 7.0 or above (6.5 or above for an SC/ST/PwD student).
Fellowship amount:
The fellowship amount shall be 50% of that of the DST–INSPIRE fellowship (excluding contingency and mentorship allowances) for the full year, less any amount that may be received by the student as fellowship or scholarship from the Central or State Government.
Call for application:
Twice in a year by Dean Academics Office ordinarily in the third week of July/December
The validity of the certificates will be verified by the competent authority.
