The institute's crèche/daycare center began functioning on the transit campus of IISER Mohali in September 2009. Since 2015, after its transfer from the faculty residential complex, the center has been located in the community center complex.

Crèche is available to the teaching and non-teaching staff and students of the institute, and children from the age group of 1.5 years and above are eligible. Crèche is also open to the institute's guests, but prior approval from the Crèche committee is required. The objective of the crèche is to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment for the children.

Crèche timings are from Monday to Saturday, 9:00–6:00 p.m. Parents must complete the registration form provided by the Crèche staff to use the facility.
