ESTABLISHMENT SECTION
The Establishment Section handles all the official matters related to the teaching and non-teaching employees (regular and contractual) and Apprentices/Trainees.
The major activities of this section includes service matters of employees. From managing rosters, service records, ERP registration and updates, travel requests, leave management, and hospital and dispensary matters, to facilitating official correspondence, we are dedicated to efficiency and transparency.
Our responsibilities also include managing promotions and pay fixations, allowance management, office orders and letters, APAR maintenance, and off-boarding processes. We embrace new ideas, and constantly improve to boost the institute's productivity and effectiveness.
Our goal is to support our employees and stakeholders with professionalism, integrity, and care. Whether it's answering everyday questions or tackling complex problems, we're here to ensure that every aspect of personnel and administrative matter is handled smoothly.
EVENTS
CoMIT 2024 Programme
(20th to 23 August 2024 & 03rd to 06th September 2024)
Establishment Section organized the 8-day CoMIT 2024 Programme (Comprehensive Modules for Induction Training), aimed to acquaint newly recruited employees of IISER-Mohali with the Government rules and the key aspects of the institute. The programme was aimed to provide essential insights into the operations of various departments such as Establishment, Finance & Accounts, Purchase & Stores, Institute Dispensary, RTI Cell and also provide a Campus Tour.
Prof. Anil Kumar Tripathi, Director, IISER-Mohali and Prof. Jagdeep Singh, Registrar, IISER-Mohali along with our Guest of Honor: Mr. Sanjay Nehru, IA&AS Officer, Deputy Director, Central Audit, Chandigarh inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.
During the programme two distinguished external experts: Mr. K.L. Singla, Former Deputy Registrar, NITTTR and Mr. R. L. Sharma, Former Deputy Advisor Finance, CSIR gave lectures to the employees on Government rules and regulations.
The Section Heads: Mr. Gautam Sharma (Deputy Registrar, Finance & Accounts), Dr. Gurpreet Singh (Chief Medical Officer), Ms. Nancy Gupta, (Assistant Registrar, Establishment Section), Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Yadav (Assistant Registrar, Purchase & Stores), Mr. S. C. Singla (Senior Consultant, Audit), Mr. Ashok Kumar Singh (Hindi Consultant) gave insights to the functioning and procedures of their departments to the employees. Mr. Rajiv Kumar, Assistant Engineer (IWD) gave a Campus Tour to the employees.
The programme was conducted in two batches on 20th to 23rd August 2024 and 03rd to 6th September 2024 with 25 participants in each batch. The programme also included a short quiz based on lectures in each batch in which Mr. Deshraj secured first position, Mr. Avtar Singh secured second position and Mr. Mohit Arora secured third position in the first batch, and Mr. Gourav Bansal secured first position, Mr. Akshay Kumar secured second position and Ms. Manuj Thakur secured third position in the second batch.
The programme concluded with a prize distribution ceremony in which Quiz Winners were facilitated with Gifts and Certificates.
