• Dr. Sunil A. Patil received the CDC India – Prof. Ashok Pandey research excellence award for 2021 of the Biotech Research Society, India (BRSI) in recognition of contributions to the Environmental Biotechnology area.
• Dr. Sunil A. Patil has been the Managing Guest Editor of the special issue on “Microbial Processes for Resource Recovery” of the Bioresource Technology Reports journal, Elsevier
• Dr Santanu Kumar Pal bagged CRS Silver Medal 2022 by Chirantan Rasayan Sanstha
• Dr. R Vijaya Anand (Department of Chemical Sciences) has been selected for the Bronze Medal for the year 2022 by the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI). 
• Dr Sugandha Maheshwary has been selected as a member of Indian National Young Academy of Science(INYAS) Core Committee -2021.
• Dr. Sunil A. Patil has been elected as a board member of the International Society of Microbial Electrochemistry and Technology (ISMET)
• Dr. Baerbel Sinha has been appointed as a scientific steering committee member for the Tropospheric Ozone Assessment Report, Phase II (TOAR-II, 2020-2024) and international global atmospheric chemistry (IGAC) initiative under the umbrella of Future Earth.
