IISER Mohali invites applications for faculty positions in all research areas of Earth and Environmental Sciences in the broadest sense of the term from highly accomplished academics with an outstanding publication track record, PhD and three years of Post Doc experience. Earth Science/Geology:
Geology, Geobiology, Geochemistry, Geophysics, Tectonics and Structural Geology, Petrology, Geomorphology, Astrobiology, Biogeochemistry, Organic Geochemistry, Geomicrobiology, Microbial ecology, Paleomagnetism, Mineralogy, Seismology, Geodynamics, Mineral physics, Petroleum studies.

Environmental Science:
Effluent treatment, Waterborne pollutants, Hydrology, Sewage and landfill treatment, Microbial remediation of pollutants, Forest ecology, Himalayan ecology, Plant ecosystems, Biogeochemistry, Air pollution and emission modeling, Chemistry-Climate modeling, Satellite remote sensing, Chemical meteorology, Meteorology and Micrometeorology, Atmospheric Composition and Climate Change, Cloud chemistry and physics, Chemical kinetics of atmospheric processes.

Social and Economic implication of Earth and Environmental Sciences:
Economic geology and natural resource management, Environmental pollution risk assessment, Natural disaster risk assessment, Disaster prevention, Disaster management, Climate change risk assessment and vulnerability, Climate change mitigation
