Abstract: Between the 13th and 17th centuries, the Bhakti movement brought together diverse voices across the Indian subcontinent who redefined spirituality through poetry and music as forms of inner awakening and social responsibility. Saints such as Nanak, Kabir, Ravidas, Namdev, Dhanna, and Farid transcended barriers of caste, creed, and ideology, urging humanity to realize Oneness as the essence of existence.
This talk explores how their collective wisdom offers timeless guidance on inclusivity, purpose, and self-realization. For students and young thinkers, these teachings present practical tools for navigating academic and personal challenges — cultivating mindfulness over reaction, discernment over conformity, and purpose over mindless ambition. Learning, viewed through this lens, becomes a path toward self-understanding and conscious participation in a shared human harmony.
