Abstract: As environmental degradation and technological advancements, and the resultant climate change and mass extinctions, are leading to the 'death' of the 'human' too, and thus possibly to a 'posthuman' condition, where humanity is apparently becoming a thing of the past, this talk will wonder, following to a great extent Donna Haraway's postulations on 'humusities', whether our posthumous remainder, either as spectral traces or as 'compost', can indeed be means to a deep planetary 'thanatopoeisis', beyond both ecocritical despair and shallow ecologisms.
