The aim of the conference is to encourage more women to pursue higher education in mathematics and to create networking opportunities that support careers in teaching and research in mathematics. The conference will feature talks by outstanding women mathematicians from India and abroad.
The program will include invited talks, contributory talks, and poster sessions, with a special emphasis on interaction between junior and senior mathematicians. Advanced PhD students, early-career researchers, and participants from SAARC nations are especially encouraged to apply. Participation is not restricted to women; others are welcome to apply, especially those in the early stages of their careers. The application form is available on the conference website.
The conference and other activities of IWM are funded by the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM), DAE, Government of India, and supported by the Committee for Women in Mathematics (CWM) under the umbrella of the International Mathematical Union (IMU).
