1. Understanding the role of alternative sigma factors, anti-sigma factors and anti-anti sigma factors in the biology of Azospirillum brasilense
2. Deciphering biochemical nature and biosynthetic pathway of carotenoids of Azospirllum brasilense
3. Understanding and engineering carbon source utilization in Azospirillum brasilense for improved root colonization and plant growth promotion
4. Engineering carotenoid overproducing strains of Azospirillum brasilense for the heterologous production of high-value phytochemicals
