NMR Research Facility Installation & Inauguration
The NMR Research Facility at IISER Mohali was inaugurated on March 03, 2010 by Prof. P Rama Rao, Hon'ble Chairman, Board of Governors IISERM.
It has been a long journey for the establishment of the NMR Research Facility at IISER Mohali. Milestones along this journey include delivery of spectrometers at the site, site design and preparation, envisaging & designing the NMR building, transporting the spectrometers from the temporary storage shed to their final home in the magnet hall, testing the SS beams for 1 tonne loads, uncrating and magnet hoisting, testing the electronics, filling cryogens, charging the supercon magnets, cryoshimming, probe tuning and getting an NMR signal!
