The Bharat Scouts & Guides Camp at Taradevi , Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.  7 BS/MS students of IISER Mohali have attended the Rover Testing Camp with Rover Captain (PEI) of IISER Mohali's BSG Unit. The Scouts & Guides training center Taradevi, Shimla is at the height of 7200 feet from sea level. Our students have put the IISER Mohali flag at the height of 7200 feet.

Republic Day Celebration at IISER Mohali

Republic Day 2020 celebrated at IISER Mohali Campus. National Flag was hosted by Prof J. Gowrishankar Director IISER Mohali in the presence of faculty members and other staff members. CNR Rao foundation award, Academic Excellence awards were presented to the students by the Director on this occasion.  

Shivalik HEPCATS Meeting - Winter 2019

On December 7th 2019, IISER Mohali organized the Winter 2019 edition of Shivalik HEPCATS Meeting. These meetings are intended to foster discussions and collaborations among researchers in and around the Shivalik range of the Himalayas. These meetings will take place, ideally once every six months, at various institutes located in the region. The acronym HEPCATS stands for High Energy Physics, Cosmology, Astrophysics, Theory and Simulations. The organizers of the symposium were Dr. Jasjeet Bagla, Dr. Harvinder Kaur Jassal, Dr. Anosh Joseph, Dr. Kinjalk Lochan, Dr. Ambresh Shivaji and Dr. K P Yogendran. The speakers of the symposium were Dr. Shankhadeep Chakrabortty (IIT Ropar), Mr. Arpith Kumar (IISER Mohali), Dr. Ayan Chatterjee (Central University of Himachal Pradesh), Prof. Charanjit Singh Aulakh (IISER Mohali), Dr. Arvind Kumar (NIT Jalandhar), Mr. Manvendra Pratap (IISER Mohali), Dr. Hironori Hoshino (IIT Ropar), Dr. Maguni Mahakhud (IISER Mohali), Dr. Aru Beri (IISER Mohali), Dr. Md Sabir Ali (IIT Ropar), Mr. Ankit Dhanuka (IISER Mohali), Dr. Karunava Sil (IIT Ropar) and Mr. Ranbir Sharma (IISER Mohali). Prof. Jasjeet Bagla and Prof. Charanjit Singh Aulakh delivered the opening remarks. The symposium concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Anosh Joseph.

1st CRIKC Chemistry Symposium (CCS2019)

The first edition of the CRIKC Chemistry Symposium (CCS-2019), a chemistry symposium between CRIKC institutions, was held during Nov 2 and 3, 2019. This symposium aimed at providing a platform for interaction and fostering collaborative and interdisciplinary chemistry research among all CRIKC institutions. During the symposium, eminent scientists from National Institutions delivered plenary lectures and the faculty of CRIKC institutions delivered talks on their research activities in different domains of Chemical Sciences. In addition, students also got an opportunity to present their research in the form of posters.

The first edition of the CRIKC Chemistry Symposium (CCS-2019) was held at IISER Mohali and it was organized by the department of chemical sciences, IISER Mohali along with IIT Ropar, Panjab University, INST Mohali and NIPER Mohali.

Foundation Day

The IISER Mohali foundation day was celebrated on September 27, 2019. Dr. Vandana Shiva delivered the Foundation Day Lecture. Dr. N. G. Prasad gave the welcome address. The institute was open to the general public and school students from 8:00 AM to 6.00 PM on this open day. All together ~1100 students and  teachers from schools and colleges participated in the foundation day events.

Independence Day celebration at IISER Mohali

IISER Mohali celebrated 73rd Independence Day on 15^th Aug 2019 at IISER Mohali Campus. National Flag was hoisted by Prof Arvind, Director IISER Mohali in the presence of Dr. P. Bapaiah Registrar IISER Mohali, faculty members and other staff members. CNR Rao foundation award and Academic Excellence awards were presented to the students by the Director on this occasion.
