The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC ) of the Institute organized an Awareness / Sensitizing Programme for MS20, MS21, MS22 and MS23 batch students of IISER Mohali  on "Prevention, prohibition, and redressal of sexual harassment of women employees and students in higher educational institutions." on 6 April 2024.  The speaker for the programme was Prof. Rajesh Gill,  a practicing Advocate at the Hon'ble High Court of Punjab and Haryana.

The Biology Discussion Forum(BDF) of IISER Mohali celebrated Darwin week - BDF's Flagship week with several captivating events from February 10th to February 17th. Students of IISER Mohali participated with great enthusiasm and embarked on an adventure celebrating science, knowledge, and the legacy of Charles Darwin.

Republic Day 2024 celebrated at IISER Mohali Campus. National Flag was hosted by Prof J. Gowrishankar Director IISER Mohali in the presence of faculty members and other staff members. 

Bhartiya Bhasha Utsav 2023 was celebrated at IISER Mohali on 11th December 2023.

The institute organized a day-long programmes focussing on multilingualism to mark the culmination of Bhartiya Bhasha Utsav on 11th December 2023.

An Awareness / sensitizing programme was organized by Internal Complaints Committee, IISER Mohali, on 15 Dec 2023 for IWD, Security, Horticulture, Housekeeping, Hostelmess, Canteen & Shopping Complex staff working in IISER Mohali Campus on “Prevention, prohibition, and redressal of sexual harassment of women employees and students in higher educational institutions".  The spoken language for the session was Punjabi & Hindi. Surender Kumar, Additional District & Sessions Judge.

About the Speaker:

Sh. Surender Kumar, Additional District & Sessions Judge, now posted as Member Secretary, State Legal Services Authority, U.T, Chandigarh. A Haryana Cadre Judicial Officer of 2007 batch. Joined as Judicial Magistrate in batch of year 2007. Designated as Chief Judicial Magistrate in year 2014 and promoted as Additional District & Sessions Judge in year 2019.  Now working as Member Secretray on deputation in State Legal Service Authority, UT Chandigarh

The 17th Foundation Day Lecture of IISER Mohali was celebrated on September 27, 2023. The Chief Guest Professor Uday Maitra from IISc Bangalore delivered the Foundation Day Lecture on “Ethics and Academic Integrity”. His talk highlighted the importance of adherence to ethical guidelines and upholding academic integrity in Education and Research, particularly with the proliferation of online information. He highlighted instances of plagiarism, fabrication, and data falsification at various scientific knowledge-sharing platforms. This lecture underscored the imperative of maintaining ethical standards and academic integrity across all educational and research endeavours, accompanied by analysis of pertinent case studies. In addition to the lecture, scientific demonstrations, quiz programs, and various other activities were organized for school children from the tricity region.
