	'Courses of Study Book' being released on December 16, 2011 in the senate meeting by the senior most senator Professor S. V. Kessar.
	The Foundation Day 2011 was celebrated on September 27th, 2011. Dr. R. A. Mashelkar, Chairman (Board of Governors) IISER Mohali, delivered a Lecture on "More for Less for More" on this occasion.
	Prof. N. Sathyamurthy, Director IISER Mohali hoisting the flag on Independence Day August 15, 2011. Students of IISER Mohali presented the cultural programme on this event. Academic Excellence prizes are also distributed to the outstanding students on this occasion.

>	IISER Mohali Hostel No. 7 was inaugurated by Prof. Ramesh Kapoor on the eve of Republic Day celebration 2011, in presence of Prof. N. Sathyamurthy, Director and other members of faculty, staff and students of IISERM.

Science Day Celebration

Science Day was celebrated this year on February 28, 2012 with a program organized by our students for the school students of the region. This time the program took place in our new lecture hall complex and a variety of events were organized. A stimulating science quiz which also included a component for citizens was organized. The programme also involved taking the school students through demonstrations of experiments in various science laboratories of the Institute. An open session of school students with scientists from IISER Mohali was organized where questions from students were answered by the faculty. A photography exhibition was also organized by the Photography and  Videography club of IISER Mohali on this day.

Inaugration of IISER Mohali East Gate

East Gate of IISER Mohali sector 81 campus was inaugurated by Executive Engineer cum Estate Officer, Mr. Praveen Kumar Srivastava on 26th January, 2012 in the presence of Prof N Sathyamurthy Director IISER Mohali and other faculty members. 

Conoscenza 2012

IISER Mohali organized its first literary fest "Conoscenza 2012" which included quizing and debating. Handsome prizes were awarded in the different competitions, an IPG workshop was also organized.

Teachers Day Celebration

Teachers Day was celebrated on September 05, 2012 at IISER Mohali sector 81 campus. Best Teachers Award was presented to

Dr. N.G. Prasad, Asstt. Prof. Biology on this occasion.

Orientation Programme of BS- MS 2012 Batch

The Orientation Programme of the BS- MS 2012 batch was held on August 5, 2012. The session started with the welcome address by Students Representative Committee. Welcome Remarks were given by Dean Students, Dean Academics, Dean R&D, Dean Faculty and Director, IISER Mohali.  Director's Welcome Dinner for new BS-MS, PhD & Int. PhD students was arranged in Hostel 7.

Republic Day was celebrated on Jan 26, 2013. The CNR Rao foundation award was shared by Ms. Satavisa Jana, Ms. Ayush, Ms. Mishty Ray and Ms. Shruthi Ravindranath.  The academic excellence awards was given to Ms. Saumya Gupta and Ms. Diksha Jain. The certificate of merit was given to Mr. Kshitiz Mohan, Ms. Nidhi Kaihnsa, Ms. Prerna Paliwal, Mr. Ankur Kumar Gupta, Ms. Debanjana Kundu, Mr. Sumit Chandra Mishra, Ms. Tanya Kaushal, Mr. Samant Manas Arun, Mr. Pushkal Srivastava, Mr. Aaveg Aggarwal, Ms. Anjali Gupta, Mr. Mayank Chugh, Ms. Kritika Singhal and Ms. Soniya Sharma.
